Before beginning to sell printables, you should consider which types you want to sell, what others are selling, and accordingly, you have to create. 

Here’s how you can do it:

 

Step 1: Decide on the Printables You Want To Sell

Many people are selling printables on Etsy, yet few are making money. This is only because of the sellers who have unique ideas. 

Think of unique ideas, consider how you will design them, and what people usually prefer. By creating accordingly, you eliminate all the random creations and only create those that sell. 

Apart from that, there’s an easier option of pre-made designs if you don’t want to make your own.

You can find pre-made designs on Canva, Adobe Express, PhotoRoom, or VistaCreate. 

Further, you can sell them as-is, but do check the commercial limitations before doing so. My recommendation for better sales is to modify or customize the pre-made design.

 

Step 2: Research Printables on Etsy

For Pro content, you can buy the license at a low price of $1 to eliminate the particular watermark and resell it. 

If you have Canva Edu or Canva Pro, then everything comes at no extra cost. You can sell the printables as PDFs, PNGs, and JPGs. But you cannot resell them as templates or stock elements.

Thus, without any special device requirements or subscription, you can start selling on Etsy.

 

Step 4: List Your Items on Etsy

After setting up your Etsy store, create a listing on Etsy. Irrespective of whether the product is physical or digital, all are categorized as a “listing.”

For printables, the listing process is just like a physical product, except that you have to upload a digital file instead of shipping or stocking the products. 

Further, when a customer buys your printable, Etsy sends it to them without any of your efforts. 

 

Create an Etsy Store

Step 1: To create your store, go to Etsy.com and create a free account. Later, click the Sign In button on the right of Etsy to register. 

Step 2: After registering, click Your Account and choose the Sell on Etsy option to create a seller account. Later on the next page, select the “Open your Etsy Shop option. 

Step 3: Add details about your shop, currency, country, language, and whether you are a part-time or full-time seller. 

Step 4: Next, enter a store name for your Etsy shop. If it’s related to something that you are selling, then that’s a plus. 

For example, if you sell gift cards, then your shop can be called the GiftCardDestination.

But if you are unsure which type of printable you want to sell, then select a name that is not confined to a single niche. 

 

Add Listings To Your Shop

You have to add at least one listing initially to your Etsy store. Some of the tips to create Etsy listings for increasing sales include:

• Use high-quality images: You can add a maximum of 10 photos for every listing. So, you can show your visitors how to use your printable. 

• Describe the listing: Inform the visitors about your printable, who it is suitable for, how to use it, features, number of pages, file format, dimensions, and more.
